Experience

Megan loves supporting pregnant and postpartum women to improve their daily functioning. She also has experience working with children ages 2-18 with varying abilities and diagnoses (Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, etc.). She also values the importance of providing simple and practical strategies that caregivers can implement at home immediately after sessions. Megan has special interests related to behavior, trauma, sensory processing, and foster care/adoption. 

Megan has specialized training in attachment, trauma and social-emotional development from pregnancy throughout the lifespan. She understands the needs of children with developmental challenges and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She hopes to help parents feel more successful at addressing the needs of their developing children.

Megan provides individual visits with pregnant and postpartum moms, as well as parents or caregivers of those who are parenting children ages 2+. She currently offers appointments virtually.

Education: B.S. in Public Health, Psychology minor & M.A. in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University.

Megan has passion for working with women in the prenatal and postpartum periods, and has seen the need for the ways OT can improve the daily lives of new and expectant parents! She works with clients to get back to completing meaningful daily activities more efficiently and independently. Her unique approach to intervention involves considering mental health & trauma-related concerns that may underlie current difficulties in daily functioning.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I enjoy playing co-ed slowpitch softball, walking, reading, going to the gym, and spending time outside.  

What do you like to read? My favorite books are the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. 

Do you have any pets? I don’t have any pets but would love to get a long coat dalmatian someday. 

How do you recharge? My best way to “recharge” is taking a nap or going for a walk by myself (hellooooo introvert Megan).
